Mortgage Loan Processor II

Job Summary:
This position reports directly to the Processing Supervisor. The Loan Processor verifies, complies, and reviews application information for mortgage loans. Reviews residential loan application file to verify that the application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including mortgage terms, borrower’s income, assets, and liabilities.

Job Description:
  • Completes initial review of loan file, makes welcome call to borrower to ask any questions and introduce yourself
  • Reviews all documentation for accurate and complete information then submit file to Underwriting for Initial approval
  • Ensures all Change of Circumstance requests sent to Audit queue (except for lock) within required time frame
  • Reviews Underwriting approval, contact borrower with all conditions needed, cc Mortgage Loan Officer on correspondence with borrower to ensure communication
  • Follows up on Appraisal, Title work, SSA and TRV for estimated completion
  • Reviews conditions received from borrower and other sources for accuracy
  • Orders Insurance, Survey, Verifications needed, credit supplements, LDP/GSA, Payoff
  • Maintains every other day follow up with borrower on items needed to complete file
  • Reviews appraisal, forward to borrower and Underwriter for review. 
  • Returns all inquiry calls and emails within a timely manner
  • Reviews pipeline daily to ensure all required dates meet: approval, NOI, closing
  • Serves as point of contact for Mortgage Loan Originator, Underwriter, Closer, Borrower and Title Company
  • Assists post-closing when needed on closed loans
  • Maintains and update loan information in Encompass including uploading documents
  • Assures all customer files are complete and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to mortgage lending.
  • Ensures customer privacy, security of files and appropriate staff access
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Strong date entry skills
  • Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA guidelines
  • Knowledge of mortgage terminology like DTI, LTV, and PITI
  • Experience running AUS findings
