Salary: $42.27 per hour plus overtime 5 hours per week

Responsibilities:
  • System Design and Implementation:
    • Design, deploy, and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and backup solutions.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable and resilient IT systems that meet business needs.
  • Infrastructure Optimization:
    • Optimize system performance and reliability through proactive monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
    • Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline system administration tasks.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement security measures to protect system assets from unauthorized access, malware, and other cyber threats.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices in data security and privacy.
  • Troubleshooting and Support:
    • Diagnose and resolve system issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
    • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Create and maintain documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures for system configurations and processes.
    • Provide training and knowledge transfer to IT staff and end-users on system-related topics.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in system engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux/Unix) and server hardware.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with storage technologies, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Knowledge of security principles and best practices, including access controls, encryption, and endpoint security.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
