Job Title: HR/Recruiting Specialist

Work Location: San Antonio, TX 78219

Term: Permanent Position
            In office; M-F, 8am-5pm

Salary: $55k-$60k

Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition:

    • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.

    • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals.

    • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers to assess candidate qualifications and fit.

  • Candidate Experience:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely communication and support.

    • Coordinate interview schedules, travel arrangements, and candidate logistics to ensure a seamless experience.

    • Collect feedback from candidates and hiring managers to continuously improve the recruitment process and candidate experience.

  • Onboarding and New Hire Orientation:

    • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, conducting background checks, and coordinating new hire orientation.

    • Ensure new hires have the necessary tools, resources, and information to acclimate to their roles and the organization.

  • HR Administration:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and employee records in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems).

    • Assist with HR-related paperwork, such as employment contracts, benefits enrollment, and personnel file maintenance.

  • Employee Relations Support:

    • Provide support to HR Manager in employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.

    • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in HR or recruiting roles, with a focus on talent acquisition.

  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with candidates and employees.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/ATS software.

Additional Requirements:

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

  • Experience with recruitment in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
