Responsibilities:

  • Retirement Program Management:

    • Oversee the administration of our retirement programs, including 401(k), pension, and ESOP (if applicable).

    • Collaborate with third-party administrators and vendors to ensure accurate recordkeeping, compliance, and participant communications.

    • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding retirement program options, enrollment, and investment decisions.

  • Benefits Administration:

    • Manage all aspects of employee benefits administration, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and flexible spending accounts.

    • Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new hires and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issues.

    • Coordinate open enrollment activities, communicate plan changes, and ensure timely processing of benefit elections.

  • Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing employee benefits programs, including ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA.

    • Prepare and submit required filings, reports, and disclosures related to benefits programs.

    • Assist with annual audits of benefits plans and respond to audit inquiries as needed.

  • Vendor Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants.

    • Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and monitor service levels to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

  • Employee Education and Engagement:

    • Develop and deliver educational materials and resources to help employees understand their benefits options and maximize their benefits utilization.

    • Organize wellness initiatives, seminars, and workshops to promote employee well-being and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration, with a focus on retirement programs.

  • Strong knowledge of retirement plan regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Experience with ESOP administration is highly desirable but not required.

  • Proficiency in benefits administration systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC) designation is a plus.
