Responsibilities:

  • Security Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

    • Design, deploy, and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and access control systems.

    • Configure security devices and systems to enforce security policies, monitor network traffic, and detect and block malicious activities.

  • Vulnerability Management and Remediation:

    • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in network infrastructure and systems.

    • Collaborate with IT teams to prioritize and address identified vulnerabilities, applying patches, updates, and security fixes as needed.

  • Incident Response and Threat Mitigation:

    • Monitor security alerts and incidents, investigate security breaches and incidents, and implement appropriate response measures to contain and mitigate security threats.

    • Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents.

  • Security Policy Development and Compliance:

    • Develop, implement, and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

    • Conduct security audits and assessments to assess compliance with security policies and standards, identify gaps, and recommend remediation measures.

  • Security Awareness and Training:

    • Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees on cybersecurity best practices, threats, and risks.

    • Promote a culture of security awareness and compliance throughout the organization, ensuring employees understand their role in maintaining security.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in network security engineering roles, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing network security infrastructure.

  • Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, encryption, and authentication.

  • Experience with security assessment tools and techniques, vulnerability management, and incident response.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI DSS).

  • Certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CCNP Security (Cisco Certified Network Professional Security), or equivalent are preferred.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret security-related data and trends.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with cloud security technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

  • Familiarity with network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.

  • Knowledge of security risk assessment methodologies and techniques.

  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security-related tasks.

  • Willingness to stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends in the cybersecurity landscape.

  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information and data.
