Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Management:

    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

    • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to support month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments.

    • Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, and cash application.

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

    • Generate financial reports and analysis to support management decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process by analyzing historical data and identifying trends.

    • Assist in the development of financial models and projections to support business planning initiatives.

  • Audit Support:

    • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as needed.

    • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and assist in implementing audit recommendations.

  • Compliance and Regulation:

    • Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.

    • Assist in the implementation of internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • CPA certification or progress towards CPA eligibility is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.

  • Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
