Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance Excellence:

    • Keep abreast of the latest payroll tax regulations and apply your expertise to ensure full compliance.

    • Execute precise calculations and timely filings of payroll tax returns, maintaining impeccable records.

  • Reporting Mastery:

    • Prepare and distribute tax-related documents with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.

    • Generate comprehensive payroll tax reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing valuable insights.

  • Audit Preparedness:

    • Assist in internal and external audits by meticulously reconciling payroll tax accounts and addressing queries.

    • Proactively identify and rectify discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all financial records.

  • Systems Optimization:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize payroll systems for seamless tax setup and efficient operations.

    • Drive process improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of payroll tax processes.

  • Employee Support and Education:

    • Serve as a trusted resource for employees, offering guidance on payroll tax matters and resolving inquiries promptly.

    • Conduct educational sessions to enhance employee understanding of payroll tax regulations and implications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in payroll tax administration or a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in tax compliance and reporting.

  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements.

  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Certification in Payroll (CPP) or Taxation (CPA) is preferred but not required.
