Responsibilities:

  • Network Infrastructure Management:

    • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

    • Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and optimize network configurations for maximum efficiency and reliability.

  • System Administration:

    • Administer and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and backup solutions.

    • Perform system upgrades, patches, and migrations to ensure security and reliability.

  • Security Management:

    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect network and system assets from unauthorized access, malware, and other cyber threats.

    • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate potential risks.

  • Troubleshooting and Support:

    • Diagnose and resolve network and system issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

    • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.

  • Documentation and Training:

    • Create and maintain documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures for network and system configurations and processes.

    • Provide training and knowledge transfer to IT staff and end-users on network and system-related topics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in network and system engineering roles.

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).

  • Experience with network hardware and software, such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.

  • Proficiency in system administration tasks, including server deployment, configuration, and maintenance (Windows, Linux/Unix).

  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Experience with security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
