Responsibilities:

  1. Advanced Technical Support:

    • Provide Tier III support for complex technical issues related to servers, networks, applications, and other IT systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents and service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  2. System Analysis and Optimization:

    • Analyze system performance and provide recommendations for improvements, including upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
    • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
  3. Project Involvement:

    • Participate in IT projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and migrations, by providing technical expertise and ensuring seamless execution.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, develop solutions, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Generate reports on system performance, incident trends, and support metrics for management review.
  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices, and apply this knowledge to enhance the organization's IT infrastructure.
    • Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts and other IT staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  6. Security and Compliance:

    • Ensure that systems and applications adhere to security policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
    • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security controls to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems analysis, IT support, or a related role, with at least 2 years in a Tier III or senior-level capacity.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex system issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) are preferred.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools and frameworks, such as ITIL, is advantageous.
  • Availability for on-call support as needed.
