Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation:

    • Write and edit content for a variety of channels, including press releases, newsletters, blog posts, website content, and social media posts.

    • Ensure all content is clear, concise, and aligns with our brand voice and messaging guidelines.

  2. Media Relations:

    • Cultivate relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure coverage of our organization's news, events, and initiatives.

    • Draft and distribute press releases and media pitches, and coordinate media interviews and appearances.

  3. Social Media Management:

    • Manage our organization's social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, and monitoring engagement.

    • Develop and execute social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement.

  4. Internal Communications:

    • Support internal communication efforts by drafting employee newsletters, announcements, and other internal communications materials.

    • Assist in coordinating company-wide meetings and events to facilitate communication and engagement among employees.

  5. Digital Marketing Support:

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate communication efforts with overall marketing initiatives.

    • Support digital marketing campaigns by creating content for email newslettes, online ads, and other digital channels.

  6. Analytics and Reporting:

    • Track and analyze the performance of communication initiatives using metrics such as website traffic, social media engagement, and media coverage.

    • Prepare regular reports and presentations to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.

  • 1-3 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related roles.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for storytelling and engaging content.

  • Knowledge of media relations practices and experience pitching to journalists is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is desirable.

  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a plus.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • A proactive and results-driven approach to communication initiatives.
